1. Gather your scraps and start stripping your material in different widths. If you're slightly OCD, work with just all being the same width, but I love the look when they are all different sizes and textures.

Placemat wallet

I just made a wallet from a placemat. It's real easy :) instructions coming soon! All you need is thread, a placemat and a fastener. It should be really easy from there but if not instructions will be up soon :)

Finished product

Well I've finally finished the wallet I said I was making and I figured out that my sewing machine was in the wrong settings and I was using wrong needles. Anyway here's the finished product.

I'm making a leather wallet, which should be done in a week or two because this is a really busy time for me. Which will look a bit like the image above although larger and will be a fold over wallet.
