DIY Gold Maxi Skirt
It only cost me €6.95 ($10.60) and took an hour to make and the finished result looks really
professional.
- Some elastic (long enough to wrap around your waist)
Here's what you'll need:
- 1 metre of gold foil fabric (or whatever fabric you desire)- Some elastic (long enough to wrap around your waist)
Steps:
1. Create the waistband. Make a fold of one inch in thickness in one side of the fabric. Sew into place by machine.2. Place a safety in in the end of the piece of elastic to help pull it through the seam in the fabric. Once the elastic
is through sew both ends together.
3. Turn the skirt inside out and sew it closed. The seam should be at the back of the skirt.
4. Once you're happy with the skirt, carefully sew the small gap in the waistband closed.
