DIY Wednesday- Decor {Door Garland}

Recently moving into a new house, my boring plain room needed some decorating, I had found so many garland designs and decided to make one for my self, only something simple. But as I made one I thought why not also make a DIY tutorial to share my experience with others on how simple it is to make, although it is a little time consuming; measuring and cutting, it is well worth it!

Steps:
 1. First start with any pattern print page (it doesn't matter which pattern because there is no particular order) Divide the page into 3 equal segment using a ruler and pencil mark a dot every 7cm across the page and

Sunday outfit- {Going pastel with stripes}

I want to start a new series called Sunday's outfit, its where I post about the outfit I wear on Sunday to church. I always feel very comfortable in jeans, regardless of how much I love dresses (the reason I love dresses is beacause they are an outfit themself, no need to decide what top to wear with either jeans or a skirt). So anyway here's todays outfit.

Found Box of pattern

I've been meaning to write this post a long time ago. A few weeks back, on the way home from church as I was in the car with my mum as she was driving, I was staring out the window and saw a whole box of sewing patterns (just around the corner from the church) and sewing stuff being thrown out. My automatic reaction was "Mum! Stop! Stop!", which freaked her out (of course), I picked up the box and took it :) When I got home I checked out all the patterns, there are some many patterns from all different decades but mostly from the 90s. I have listed some onto etsy that I thought I wouldn't use. Here they are below:

Today I'm 17 on the 17th!

I feel so much older not in the sense of feeling older but the number makes me seem older, sixteen used to feel like a middle number to me. Unfortunate for me I had to study all day because tomorrow I have a modern History exam... :( Last year I had an amazing birthday, I had a party with many friends and (presents!). It was the greatest party I had yet! But on the bright side of the things I share this special day 17/9 with my dad.

Here is a preview of tonight (with a funny story):

Silver locket bracelet that I specifically asked for! :) I absolutely love it!

My Dress! from my mum, largely inspired by Zooey Deschanel, when I saw it, there was no going back. I had to have it :)
Front (The collar is my favourite)

Back

Matching pair of shoes which I bought at Big W for only $5.00 from $29.98 :O

Get Smart Get Inspired

Polyvore displays clothing of great price but why buy at expensive prices, when you can purchase similar or exact products for a cheaper and more convenient price.This is a typical outfit I would wear; casual and for any occasion (except for for the handbag, I'm not really a fan of, I would have a over-the-shoulder bag but this one fit the collage). Winter is here and it's freezing everyone to death (and making everyone sick) but when you are wearing the right clothing you can stay warm. The source of my inspiration is from Get Smart not from agent 99, but from Maxwell Smart's trench coat he sometimes wore. (below collage)

Vintage inspiration has really captured me! As I was saying earlier about buying at cheaper prices, here is my collage of clothing at cheaper prices. Although it is

Fallen

Love Fallen by Lauren Kate, well guess what?!? My friend and I have decided to make the dress on the front cover and a lot of research has been done on the dress details. It may seem hard but I think it will be a very fun project! I'll get updated post soon, stay tuned.

Breakfast at Tiffy's

Vintage fashion is back in, it's jumped back to the fifties, which in fact had a beautiful range of style. An example can be taken from Rayban Sunnies inspired by Audrey Hepburn breakfast at Tiffany's.

You may say that many famous people have been wearing vintage styled fashion, is was very neat and tidy, being high-necked, long in length and the hairstyle always being buns. Take Zooey Deschanel for instance
